Chinese Foreign Minister Meets With Taliban Leaders

Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the fate of Afghanistan should be "in the hands of the Afghan people."

On Wednesday, China's foreign minister met with leaders of the Taliban.   He said the fate of Afghanistan should be "in the hands of the Afghan people." He also took the opportunity to slam the U.S., saying the troop withdrawal  "marks the failure of the U.S. policy towards Afghanistan."
