China rushes to contain Delta outbreak in Fujian ahead of busy 'Golden Week'

A Delta variant outbreak of Covid-19 has triggered a slew of stringent measures in China's Fujian province. Here's all you need to know about it.

According to the World Health Organisation's Covid dashboard, China has reported 1.23 lakh confirmed cases of infection and 5,687 virus-related deaths to date. The country even managed to tackle another Delta variant outbreak originating from Nanjing in July of this year.
