China fumes as Biden plots to starve it of AI investment: 'Sci-tech bullying'

China is warning it may fight back against U.S. attempts to direct investment in artificial intelligence away from China and toward other countries, a current Biden plan.
But in a briefing last week, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said China is "firmly opposed" to this idea and accused the U.S. of pursuing "selfish interests" using "economic coercion." Pete Kasperowicz is a politics editor at Fox News Digital.
"The true intention of the U.S. is to take away the right to development from China and maintain U.S. supremacy for its selfish interests," he said. "Such blatant act of economic coercion and sci-tech bullying is against the principles of market economy and fair competition, undermines the international economic and trading order, disrupts and destabilizes global industrial and supply chains and hurts the interests of the whole world."
