Telangana districts see sub-10°C temperatures, Sangareddy records lowest at 6.9°C, IMD predicts clear skies for Hyderabad.
Telangana is experiencing a wave of chilly mornings, with the minimum temperature plummeting below 10°C in multiple districts across the State. According to data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), eight districts recorded sub-10°C temperatures on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) morning.
Sangareddy registered the lowest minimum temperature at 6.9°C, followed by Kumaram Bheem Asifabad at 7.2°C. Other districts reporting temperatures below 10°C included Rangareddy (8.1°C), Adilabad (8.5°C), Vikarabad (9°C), Kamareddy (9.6°C), Rajanna Sircilla (9.7°C), and Mahabubnagar (9.9°C). The remaining districts recorded minimum temperatures ranging from 10°C to 15°C, as per the data.
In the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, three areas recorded 10°C or sub-10°C temperatures. Rajendra Nagar experienced a low of 9.2°C, while Serilingampally and Patancheru recorded 10°C each.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast clear skies for Hyderabad. Misty or hazy conditions are expected during the morning hours, while the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32°C and 16°C, respectively, as per the forecast.

“Earth Day celebrations have already started in Bengaluru, with campaigns at various colleges such as St. Josephs, and Christ University where life-size elephants made from the invasive species, Lantana Camera, have been travelling to spread the message of conservation and coexistence, along with expert talks from WWF India and Ravi Chellam of Metastring Foundation,” said the release.
