Child, woman honoured by Ministry for saving lives

Doha: South Security Department at the General Directorate of Public Security honoured the 12-year-old girl, Rimas Rashid Al-Afifa Al-Marri, in appreciation of her efforts to save the life of her uncle, who was exposed to a health problem at home.

She gave necessary first aid for him and also called the emergency service (999) to request aid. Rimas’ father expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of the Interior and the Southern Security Department for this honour, noting that the proper action by his daughter was a result of her prior knowledge of how to provide first aid that he was keen to teach her and the rest of his children.
