More than 40 people were wounded in 29 shootings in Chicago over the weekend, police said Monday.
According to CPD, the 14-year-old boy was standing outside in the Little Village neighborhood around 1:35 a.m. when he was "punched and kicked by a group of people before being stabbed twice in the shoulder." He was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition and was later determined to have also been shot in the arm, police said. Sources said he was uncooperative with officers but did not immediately appear to have a history with police. His attackers were described only as "Hispanic males."
