Chhattisgarh: Maoist killed in encounter with security forces in Dantewada

Security forces killed a Maoist in an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district. The Maoist was carrying a reward of Rs five lakh on his head.

A Maoist carrying a reward of Rs five lakh on his head was killed by security forces during an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Friday.

The encounter broke out in a forest under Geedam police station area at around 4 pm when a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) of the police ran into a group of Maoists.
