Chennai: 3 people die in accident on Cuddalore-Chidambaram National Highway

The government bus overturned after a head on collision with the truck.

In an unfortunate incident, a government bus and a truck met with an accident which resulted in the death of three people including the bus driver. In the wee hours of this morning, a government super delux bus from Nagapattinam to Chennai met with an accident at Mettupalayam on the Cuddalore-Chidambaram National Highway. The bus overturned after a head-on collision with the truck. Three passengers including the 42-year-old driver Sivakumar died on the spot. Twenty other passengers on board were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
