
Chennai: 250 taxis converted to Covid mini-ambulances amid spike in demand

To ease the burden on the services of ‘108’ ambulances, the Greater Chennai Corporation converted 250 taxis to mini-ambulance. All those who need to go to Covid care centres or screening centres but don’t need oxygen support can avail services of these taxis.
Amid a rise in coronavirus cases in Chennai, the civic body has converted as many as 250 taxis to ambulances as a transportation solution for patients. The Greater Chennai Corporation on Thursday rolled out 250 Covid-special taxis as mini-ambulances. Twenty vehicles were flagged off from Rippon Building Municipal Administration by Minister KN Nehru.More Related News
