Chelsea beat Southampton 3-1, Manchester United slip at home again with 1-1 draw against Everton

Late goals from Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell helped Chelsea to a 3-1 win over Southampton that pushed them to the top of the table while Manchester United dropped points yet again at Old Trafford.

Chelsea got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Southampton to move top of the Premier League table while Manchester United stuttered again at home on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by high-flying Everton.

Chelsea, who came into the match on the back of consecutive defeats for only the second time since Thomas Tuchel took charge, needed a response and they got it as Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell struck late on after Southampton had been reduced to 10 men.
