A unique Chattisgarh village school is using sensory devices to teach its primary school students, thanks to the efforts of the local teachers.
The government school located in a forest in the tribal Jhanjhari village is using modern technology, notably sensory devices which are especially designed for two- to 10-year-olds.
The school uses four such devices to teach poems, riddles and stories as a means of smart education. In a conversation with India Today GNT, students said they really enjoy learning through this device.
The handheld sensory device that reads out printed content costs Rs 7000. The funds were collected by school headmaster Arvind Gupta and other teachers.
The unique village school also uses other tried and tested methods to impart education. Its walls are decorated with paintings depicting life lessons.
Thanks to such innovative measures, the Chattisgarh school which barely had any students showing up now has 95% attendance.
