Charles Barkley slams CNN ‘boneheads’ after ‘King Charles’ show with Gayle King flops: ‘Full of s–t’

The Round Mound of Rebound isn’t taking this one lying down.
NBA legend and TV personality Charles Barkley dunked on CNN bosses after The Post reported the network was pulling the plug on “King Charles,” his short-lived prime-time talk show with Gayle King, claiming the gig was only ever meant to be temporary.
“You know the type of boneheads I work with?” Barkley said on an episode of “The Mike Missanelli Podcast” Thursday.
“First of all, it wasn’t canceled. I talk to Gayle all the time. They haven’t told us we were canceled. That’s how stupid these people are.”
“King Charles” aired for just 14 episodes on CNN before getting the ax after failing to eclipse reruns of the sitcom “Friends” and episodes of “South Park” in the ratings.
The show averaged just 459,000 total viewers and 106,000 in the 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen figures, a distant third behind its competitors — Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” and “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” on MSNBC.
