Chandigarh schools, colleges closed till March 31 due to Covid-19

The schools and colleges in Chandigarh will remain closed till March 31 in view of the sudden rise in Covid-19 cases across the union territory.

The administration of Chandigarh has decided to shut down the schools and colleges across the union territory till March 31 in view of the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases. This measure has been taken for the safety of the students and staff of educational institutes. Though schools have been closed for students till March 31 to control the Covid-19 situation, all teaching and non-teaching staff will be coming to the institutions during this time. All proper Covid-19 safety measures will be taken during this time. Since Covid-19 cases in Chandigarh are on a rise in the last few days, the administration has taken the decision to conduct the exams for students of classes 3 to 8 online this year. In a notification, it was stated that the exam will be conducted as per the schedule and is not being postponed further.
