Chelsea reached the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in over 6 years while Bayern Munich also sailed through to the last-8 on Wednesday night.

Chelsea made their way into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after more than 6 years as they beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in the second leg on Wednesday to give coach Thomas Tuchel's rejuvenated team a win. Hakim Ziyech and Emerson Palmieri scored once each to secure victory for the Blues, who have reached the last-8 at this competition for the first time since 2014. Ziyech's goal after 34 minutes against Atletico Madrid built on Chelsea's 1-0 first-leg lead and Emerson Palmieri netted in stoppage time to seal a 3-0 aggregate win.
