Google, Microsoft, Amazon and other tech companies have pulled out of CES 2022 over Omicron concerns. The organisers have refused to cancel the event.
Google, Microsoft and other big tech companies have pulled out of the CES 2022. However, the association remains unfazed by the dropping out of major attendees, the team intact has no plans to cancel the event or host it virtually. Previously, tech companies including Twitter, Amazon and Pinterest had pulled out of the event over Omicron concerns.
“After reviewing the latest data on the rapidly evolving COVID environment, Microsoft has decided not to participate in-person at CES 2022,” a company spokesperson told the Verge. The company will attend the event virtually. The Consumer Technology Association had said that it will not postpone the event or move to virtual programming.
