Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has urged the central government to float global tenders for Covid-19 vaccines instead of states procuring them individually.
Central government should float global tenders for Covid-19 vaccines instead of states floating them individually, said Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain. This was among many of the issues raised in a meeting with Union Health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Jain told the media during a press conference on Thursday. Price of each vaccine should be capped at 150/dose.The current prices are exorbitant. @SerumInstIndia @BharatBiotech are profiting with about 16000 crore each at the expense of the common man.The life saving vaccine should be accessible by all stratas of society.3/3 pic.twitter.com/xsCM1D53lG Delhi Govt appeals to Central Govt to import vaccine doses from abroad at a national level rather than leaving states to fend for themselves in international markets.During this time of crisis, we need to act together, not individually.2/3 — Satyendar Jain (@SatyendarJain) May 13, 2021 Delhi government also said that the two vaccine makers producing jabs in India should share the vaccine formula with all Indian manufacturers. "This will facilitate mass production in order to vaccinate the citizens of India," said Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.More Related News
