CBSE Class 12 topper from Ghaziabad, Riti Verma, slept at 2 am and woke up at 8 am to prepare for board exams. Here's what else we know about the topper.
The CBSE results 2022 for Classes 10 and 12 were released last week and Riti Verma became the Ghaziabad district topper with her 99.6% score in the CBSE Class 12 results 2022.
In an interaction with India Today, the Seth Anandram Jaipuria School student said that she slept at 2 am and woke up at 8 am to prepare for the CBSE board exams.
Born in Varanasi, Riti now lives with her parents in Vaishali. Her mother is a homemaker while her father is a software professional. Her elder sister is pursuing BTech in aerospace engineering from IIT Bombay.
“I did study hard for the CBSE board exams. I used to sleep at 2 am and wake up at 8 in the morning,” she says.
“I have never counted the number of hours of my study. I used to keep daily targets in terms of amount of work or number of chapters that I needed to finish,” Riti explains.
In Classes 11 and 12, Riti had PCM with graphics and English as her subjects. She managed to score 98 in physics and bagged a perfect score in the other four subjects.
Now, she has been allotted a seat in IIT Guwahati for BDes programme through UCEED. She is also preparing for JEE Advanced.
