CBI questions TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's kin for 8 hours in connection with coal pilferage case

The CBI on Monday questioned Ankush Arora and his father Pawan Arora, both relatives of TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee in connection with a multi-crore coal pilferage case.
Trinamool Congres MP Abhishek Banerjee's relatives were questioned by the CBI in connection with a coal pilferage case on Monday. The CBI had earlier recorded the statement of Abhishek Banerjee's wife Rujira on February 23. On Monday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned two of Abhishek Banerjee's relatives for nearly eight hours. They were seen leaving the CBI office at Nizam Palace on Kolkata's Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road at around 6.24 pm. The CBI had on Friday issued a notice to Ankush Arora, the husband of Abhishek Banerjee's sister-in-law Menaka Gambhir. In addition, the agency had also asked Menaka Gambhir's father-in-law Pawan Arora to join the probe into the multi-crore coal pilferage case.More Related News
