CBI initiates investigation into custodial death of gangster Ankit Gujjar

As directed by the Delhi High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated its probe into the custodial death case of gangster Ankit Gujjar.

The Special Crime Unit of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated its probe into the custodial death case of gangster Ankit Gujjar who had died inside the Tihar Jail on August 4 this year. The federal probe agency had lodged an FIR on September 10 on the directions of the Delhi High Court. India Today has learnt that the CBI has started collecting the available evidence, including documents and CCTV footage, from the Delhi Police and jail authorities.
