CBI files FIR against officials of NIRD, others for misappropriation of govt funds

The CBI has booked officials of the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and some private firms for misappropriation of government funds worth over Rs 1.5 crore.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against officials of the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and some private firms for misappropriation of government funds to the tune of Rs 1.56 crore. The CBI has booked Dr Rajnikant Gundabolu, the then Associate Professor, CWE, NIRD; Dr Kondaveeti Papamma, then Editor, NIRD; GVS Sridhar Goud, the then Accounts Officer (Training), NIRD; Alluri Ramakrishna Prasad, Proprietor of Balaji Scans Private Limited; V Sudhakar Reddy, Proprietor of Vaishnavi Laser Graphics Private Limited; and unknown public servants and private persons on the allegations that they committed gross irregularities in printing works and falsely justified the bills and quotations.More Related News
