CBI files chargesheet against four accused in Bhadu Sheikh's murder case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against four accused in Bhadu Sheikh's murder case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet in the killing of TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh at Rampurhat, which preceded the major arson at Bogtui village which left nine dead in March.
CBI has filed a chargesheet against four accused in the competent court in a case related to the murder of Shri Bhadu Sk, a resident of Bogtui village, Birbhum District.
CBI had registered the case on April 8 on the orders of the High Court at Calcutta in connection with WPA (P) 130, 124, 125, 126, 129 and 133 of 2022 and taken over the investigation of the case.
It was alleged that on March 21, while Sheikh was at Bogtui, the accused threw a bomb targeting the head and on being hit on his head the Sheikh fell down.
It was also alleged that the said accused kept throwing more bombs targeting Bhadu Sheikh.
The name of the accused in the chargesheet are Palash Khan alias Faizul Khan, Sanju Sheikh alias Nur Islam Sekh, Safi Sekh alias Safizul Sekh, and Mahi Sekh alias Mahirul Sekh.
CBI collected digital as well as other evidence. It was found during the investigation that there was long standing rivalry between two groups in the area. One group was led by the deceased Bhadu Sheikh and another was led by the accused named in the FIR.
