CBI books 4 ASI officials for issuing illegal NOCs to aid construction at national monument in Gujarat

The CBI has booked four ASI officials for allegedly granting NOCs to Riddhi Siddhi Enterprises for constructions in the regulated/prohibited areas of Kuki Biwiki Masjid and Muqbara (tomb) in Ahmedabad, which have been classified as national monuments.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against four officials of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for allegedly granting no-objection certificates (NOCs) to a Gujarat-based firm Riddhi Siddhi Enterprises for construction in a classified national monument - Kuki Biwiki Masjid and Muqbara (tomb) in Ahmedabad.
In the FIR, the CBI has named Rameshbhai Parmar, partner of Riddhi Siddhi Enterprises, Shivanada V. Rao (then Superintending Archaeologist, ASI Ministry of Culture, Vadodara Circle), Ravi Kumar Gautam (then Administrative Officer, National Monuments Authority), Arifali Agariya (Senior Conservation Assistant, ASI, Vadodara Circle), Rajesh Johri (Conservation Assistant, ASI, Vadodara Circle), Kanubhai Patel (private person) and unknown public servants as accused in the case.
