CBI arrests senior South Delhi Municipal Corporation official on corruption charges

The CBI arrested an Additional Director of Education Department in South Delhi Municipal Corruption's (SDMC) Civic Centre for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an Additional Director of Education Department in South Delhi Municipal Corruption's (SDMC) Civic Centre for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. The arrested person has been identified as Surendar Kumar Bhadauria. A case was registered based on a complaint against Surendar Kumar Bhadauria. It was alleged that he had demanded a bribe of Rs 20 lakh from the complainant in lieu of helping him in getting free from all agencies including court, Vigilance Commission and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
