The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Pune businessman Avinash Bhosle in the Yes Bank-DHFL case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Avinash Bhosle, a Pune businessman who is said to be close to top Maharashtra politicians, in the Yes Bank DHFL case.
The CBI searched Bhosle's home in the Yes Bank DHFL case, which was registered in March 2020.
The probe agency (CBI) had on April 30 conducted raids at multiple locations in Mumbai and Pune. Premises linked to builder and businessman Shahid Balwa and Pune-based businessman Avinash Bhosle were raided by CBI officials.
The raids, according to sources, are in connection with the Yes Bank DHFL case, in which builder Sanjay Chabria of Radius Group was arrested in April. A total of eight locations were raided by the CBI in Mumbai and Pune.
Sanjay Chabria is the promoter of Radius Group. Radius Group had borrowed huge loans from DHFL (Dewan Housing Finance Ltd.) and Yes Bank.
In February of this year, the CBI conducted searches at six locations in Mumbai and Pune associated with Sanjay Chabria and Radius Group.
The CBI is looking into Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor and DHFL and its promoters, Kapil and Dhiraj Wadhawan, for causing a loss to the bank.
