A woman was kidnapped by 15 men in Tamil Nadu's Mayiladuthurai. She has now been rescued.
A woman was kidnapped by 15 men from her residence in Tamil Nadu's Mayiladuthurai on Tuesday night.
A nearby CCTV captured the moment 15 men broke down the front gate and barged into her residence. The culprits were caught, and the woman was rescued by the police.
The initial investigation revealed that one of the accused, Vigneshwaran (34), befriended the woman and began stalking her.
The woman had filed a complaint with the Mayiladuthurai Police, who allegedly warned Vigneshwaran. The police took him into custody, took a written statement from him, and then released him.
Vigneshwaran then attempted to kidnap the woman on July 12, but she escaped and alerted police, who started looking for him.
During this time, Vigneshwaran and 14 of his associates broke into the woman's home and kidnapped her. They also threatened her family with sharp weapons.
