Caste census: RJD to stage dharna at district headquarters across Bihar today

The RJD has said party workers will protest at district headquarters in Bihar on Saturday to mark Mandal Diwas and demand a caste-based census.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) workers will stage a protest across Bihar today in support of their demand for a caste-based census in the country. The party said it will stage dharna at district headquarters across the state to mark Mandal Diwas. RJD workers will protest at all district headquarters and press the Centre to implement the remaining recommendations of the Mandal commission, fill up vacancies in the reserved category along with caste-based census, the party said.
