Caste census: Mukesh Sahni not called in all-party meeting, Chirag Paswan also absent

The Vikassheel Insaan Party and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) were not called for the all-party meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday on the issue of caste census.
The Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) was not called to the all-party meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday on the issue of caste census. Annoyed by not being called to the all-party meeting, Mukesh Sahni lodged a strong objection.
Although, Sahni has welcomed the green signal for the caste census in the all-party meeting, but at the same time said that when the all-party delegation of Bihar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the leadership of Nitish Kumar on the issue of caste census last year, he was a part of it, but in the all-party meeting held on Tuesday, the VIP was not invited.
Sahni said that he has been in favor of the fact that there should be a caste census in Bihar and he has always stood by Nitish Kumar on this issue. Sahni said that he had also written a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary regarding not being invited to the all-party meeting.
He said that there are many political parties representing different social classes in Bihar. The political parties which got public support in the last assembly elections, even if they do not have any MLA, their opinion and views should have been taken in the meeting. I am currently a member of the Bihar Legislative Council.
Mukesh Sahani was vocal on the issue of the caste census. He felt that with the help of this issue, he would also be involved in the political discussions, but he was not called. This VIP leader said that all the parties of the state should be called for discussion in the all-party meeting as this is an important subject of the state.
Significantly, the MP of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, was also not invited to the all-party meeting called on the caste census. The party's state president, Raju Tiwari, said that it is not known why the government decided not to include the party in the meeting.
