After consistently losing points in the Premier League and the sordid Romelu Lukaku saga, Chelsea finally gave their fans something to cheer for as they romped their way to a convincing 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the first-leg semifinals of the Carabao Cup.

Kai Havertz sparked an early celebration at Stamford Bridge after a mix-up in the Spurs defence saw the German firing an angled shot which was deflected in by Davinson Sanchez in the fifth minute.
