Captain Amarinder Singh's aide loses Patiala municipal corporation top post

Former Punjab CMCaptain Amarinder Singh's close aide and Patiala Mayor, Sanjeev Sharma Bittu, lost his post as he failed to prove the majority during a confidence motion on Thursday.

In a major setback to the former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, his close aide and Patiala Mayor, Sanjeev Sharma Bittu, lost his mayoral seat after he failed to prove the requisite majority during a confidence motion brought by the forty dissident councillors.

Senior Deputy Mayor Yoginder Singh Yogi will be Patiala's new mayor now.
