Board Exams 2022 Updates: The Supreme Court has rejected a plea that seeks cancellation of board exams 2022 that are going to be held by CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, and other state boards.
Cancel Board Exams 2022: The Supreme Court dismissed the petition seeking to conduct CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations online after hearing the arguments of the petitioner. The petition which sought the cancellation of Term 2 board exams being conducted by the CBSE and educational boards was heard today. The petitioner had asked for the board examinations to be conducted in the same manner as they were conducted last year.
A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, and Justice CT Ravikumar said to the petitioner that considering your petition means that there is more confusion.
The court added further that by filing this application in the name of public interest litigation, the petitioner has already created a lot of confusion among the students and parents.
The court went on to ask the petitioner to take their arguments to the authorities.
"For the last four days, through such PILs, you are not only increasing the confusion but also raising false hopes among the students," the court said to the petitioner.
"This is an irresponsible misuse of public interest litigation. What kind of petition do people also file?" it added.
The petitioner argued that the court had considered a similar petition last year too and that the situation is more or less the same.
