The California amusement park Knott's Berry Farm was forced to close three hours early Saturday after multiple fights between teenagers prompted panic and fears of a shooting.

"Knotts Berry Farm has closed for the night, and we ask you avoid the area until further notice," the department added in its public advisory published Saturday evening.
