Coimbatore police arrested a government bus conductor for sexually assaulting a female passenger.
Coimbatore police arrested a bus conductor for allegedly sexually assaulting a female passenger on a government bus in Tamil Nadu.
The accused, identified as Poovendran, allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old woman on a bus heading to Coimbatore from Salem.
According to police, the woman has been staying in Coimbatore and preparing for the civil service examination. She boarded a government bus from Salem to Coimbatore on March 16.

Poovedran, who was the conductor, allegedly assaulted the IAS aspirant. The woman then informed her friends about the incident. When the bus reached the Gandhipuram bus stand in Coimbatore, the conductor was arrested by the police.
The woman's friends had reportedly informed the police about the incident. A case has been registered against the accused.
