Police are asking the public for help in identifying two males involved in a shooting in north Edmonton last month.
Police are asking the public for help in identifying two males involved in a shooting in north Edmonton last month.
On Dec. 7 around 11:30 p.m., the two males reportedly shot at the front and back of a home, targeting bedroom windows.
The residence was home to a mother and her three daughters, none of whom are known to police.
No one was injured, but police say bullets narrowly missed the children, who were asleep in their beds.
Investigators believe the shooting was organized, but don't know why the family was targeted.
“This shooting is baffling to us,” Staff Sgt. Eric Stewart of the EPS guns and gang section in a news release. “The video clearly shows that the shooter deliberately took aim at this house, but there is no evidence to suggest the family is involved in any criminal activity. In fact, they are so terrified for their safety, they have since left the city.”
Police have released surveillance photos and video of one of the males in hopes of identifying him.
