Bulldozers demolish houses of 3 accused of raping teenager in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa

A teenage girl was gang-raped by at least half a dozen youths when she went to visit a temple with her friend in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district.
A teenage girl, who went to visit a temple in Naigarhi in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district on Saturday afternoon, was gang-raped by half a dozen youths.
Police have arrested three people, of whom two are minors, and launched a search operation for three others, who are on the run. Bulldozers have also been pressed into service to demolish the homes of the three suspects arrested in the gang-rape case.
According to police, the incident occurred near Ashatabhuji Mata temple falling in the jurisdiction of Naigarhi police station on Saturday afternoon. The teenage girl went for a walk with her friend and also visited the temple. After the darshan, the two were sitting nearby the temple and talking when at least six youths approached them.
The accused dragged the girl to a waterfall near the temple and raped her in turn in front of her friend. After sexually assaulting the girl, the accused beat her up and snatched her mobile phone and anklet.

The youths threatened the girl and her friend of dire consequences if they informed anyone about the incident and fled the spot. The girl and her friend somehow reached the police station and explained their ordeal.
The Naigarhi police informed their families about the incident. Police said the condition of the girl was very bad and she was immediately admitted to hospital for treatment.
