Border Czar Tom Homan Responds To Selena Gomez Crying Over Deportations: 'No Apologies'

Trump's immigration enforcement pick had blunt words for the "Only Murders in the Building" star.
Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar, was not moved Monday by viral video of Mexican American actor Selena Gomez crying over mass deportations while saying, “All my people are getting attacked” and “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s all for the good of this nation and we’re gonna keep going,” Homan said on Fox News. “No apologies. We’re moving forward.”
In another appearance on the conservative channel with host Sean Hannity, Homan asked Gomez where her tears were for victims of smuggled fentanyl and families hurt by immigrant violence and sex trafficking. Trump and allies have leaned into claims that immigrants have caused a crime wave despite evidence to the contrary.
Gomez took down her Instagram story video after intense backlash and apparently deleted a follow-up message which read, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”
Homan, who was taped on a raid with Phil McGraw, aka Dr. Phil, the day before as Homan oversaw an operation in Chicago, pushed back hard when he was informed of Gomez’s response to the accelerated roundup of undocumented migrants.
