Boney Kapoor announces Valimai Day as Ajith's film is all set for a grand release on Feb 24

Producer Boney Kapoor announced that February 24 will be Valimai Day. He released a new promo featuring Ajith Kumar.

Ajith Kumar's Valimai is all set for a grand release on February 24. Ahead of the film's release, producer Boney Kapoor shared a special promo and announced that February 24 will be Valimai Day. The actor's ardent fans have been waiting with bated breath to see their favourite star on the celluloid. Ajith was last seen in director H Vinoth's Nerkonda Paarvai, which was released in theatres in 2019.

Ajith Kumar's Valimai was announced in 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film's production and release were delayed multiple times. Valimai is a cop drama, directed by H Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame.

Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to share a new promo of Valimai. He wrote that February 24 will be Valimai Day as Ajith's film will hit the theatres. "NEXT THURSDAY is #ValimaiDay. in Cinemas all across the world. #ValimaiFromFeb24 #Valimai #ValimaiFDFS (sic)," he captioned the post.

Valimai is an action thriller in which Ajith Kumar will be playing the role of an IPS officer. The film is jointly produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios. Valimai was predominantly shot in Chennai and Hyderabad. A chase sequence was shot in Russia.

The film features Ajith Kumar, Kartikeya Gummakonda and Huma Qureshi in lead roles with Yogi Babu, Sumithra, Pearle Maaney and Sumithra in supporting roles. Reportedly, Valimai is being produced on a huge budget of Rs 150 crore.
