
Bombay High Court: Preserve subscriber, call detail records of Jitendra Awhad

The Bombay High Court has ordered the police to ask tele-companies to not delete Subscriber Detail Record (SDR) and Call Details Record (CDR) of Maharashtra minister Jitendra Awhad and policemen, who were stationed at his bungalow, about a year ago. For the apprehension of criminals involved in offenses, it is often a necessity for the law enforcement agencies to obtain the SDR and CDR in respect of mobile phones from the service providers. According to advocate Abaad Ponda, these details are automatically erased by the mobile companies until and unless there are specific orders to preserve the same.More Related News
