Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh's plea seeking a CBI probe into allegations of corruption against Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh will be taken up by the Bombay HC on March 31.
The Bombay High Court has agreed to hear former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s plea seeking direction for an "impartial" CBI probe into alleged corrupt malpractices of Anil Deshmukh. Param Bir Singh had earlier alleged that the Maharashtra minister had asked police officer Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore from bars and restaurants. Advocate Vikram Nankani appeared for Param Bir Singh on Tuesday and mentioned the matter before the division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice GS Kulkarni. The court said it will hear the matter on Wednesday (March 31).More Related News
