
Bombay HC stops Param Bir Singh’s arrest in midnight hearing, adjourns case till Monday

The vacation bench of Bombay High Court has stopped the arrest of former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh over a case lodged by Thane Police.
The Bombay High Court has directed the Maharashtra government to refrain from arresting former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh in connection with a case registered against him on the basis of a complaint by an Akola cop. A vacation bench comprising Justices SJ Kathawalla and SP Tavade has adjourned the case to Monday while asking the state government to not arrest Param Bir Singh. During the last hearing, Maharashtra government made the submission that Param Bir Singh would not be arrested. However, advocate Darius Khambatta, appearing for the state Maharashtra government, refused to continue with the statement this time.More Related News
