Bombay HC issues norms for effective compliance with POCSO Act provisions on victim participation

The Court on Thursday laid down guidelines and directives to be followed by the prosecution and courts dealing with cases under POCSO

The Bombay High Court has issued guidelines for effective implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act to ensure victim’s participation in various stages of judicial process. A bench comprising Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni gave these directions while hearing a plea filed by social worker Arjun Malge.
