A missing 72-year-old Tillsonburg, Ont. woman has been found dead, more than a month after she was last seen in the Oxford County town.
The remains of Lola Watson were found near the area of Plank Line and Airport Road in South-West Oxford Township on Friday, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, they said.
Watson left her Huntley Avenue home on Nov. 8, and was last seen in the area of Canary and Martin streets around 11 a.m. that day.
Her disappearance prompted dozens of people to gather outside of Waston's home for a vigil to show support for her family.
The 72-year-old had moved to the town last summer with her son and daughter, according to a neighbour.
