The body of a two-year-old girl, missing for two days, was found inside a bag hanging on her neighbour's door in Greater Noida, police said.
When the child went missing, the accused pretended to help her parents in the search operation but fled when his house reeked of an unpleasant odour due to the presence of the dead body.
Two-year-old Mansi's parents and her seven-month-old brother live in a rented house in Devla village. Both her parents are daily wage earners who work in a factory nearby. Her father, Shiv Kumar, went to work and her mother, Manju, to the market on Friday but upon returning they found Mansi to be missing. Not able to find her, the parents registered a complaint with the police.
After searching for two days, Shiv Kumar complained of a foul smell coming out of his neighbour Raghavendra's locked house. With the help of the police Shiv Kumar managed to enter the house where Mansi's body was found inside a bag hung from a door.
