The BMC has stationed three staffers at oxygen refilling stations in Taloja and Turbhe areas of Navi Mumbai to ensure smooth supply of oxygen to the city limits.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has deployed three staffers at oxygen refilling stations in Taloja and Turbhe areas of Navi Mumbai to ensure that the supply reaches the city limits smoothly. BMC had to shift patients for two days due to shortage of oxygen owing to a technical glitch at the suppliers' end. Hence, the BMC has now decided to position its own staff at the sides so that they are informed in case of a delay or any other problem. The staff which has been deployed there will keep updating the officials on the vehicles leaving and check whether refilling of oxygen has been done properly. The BMC has also appointed one nodal officer at each of the 24 wards to coordinate with the private hospital, to get all the updates and to source oxygen wherever there is a shortfall. Further, there are six coordinating officers, one for every four wards in the city, to coordinate with the FDA for oxygen supply.More Related News
