Blowing snow and freezing temperatures are causing road accidents in and around Montreal.
Blowing snow and freezing temperatures are causing road accidents in and around Montreal early Wednesday morning.
According to Quebec 511, the numerous accidents have caused traffic, including a truck that veered off the road and hit a lamppost on Highway 30 West in Longueuil near the Grande-Allée exit.
Additionally, on Highway 20 West near the Sources exit, two vehicles collided and a semi-trailer truck broke down.
Also on the West Island, a vehicle skidded off the road on Highway 40 East in Kirkland near the entrance to Sainte-Marie Road.
"The vehicle went through the fence and onto the service road," Quebec 511 notes.
On Souligny Avenue West near the entrance to Highway 25, three cars were involved in a collision and were towed.
Quebec 511 is also reporting that numerous vehicles have stalled on roads and highways across the city.
