BLACKPINK member Jennie’s first look in ‘The Idol’ is out. ‘The Idol’ is produced by The Weeknd.
BLACKPINK fans cannot keep calm as member Jennie's participation is confirmed in the HBO drama series 'The Idol'. Bankrolled by The Weeknd, the show is co-created by Reza Fahim and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. The Weeknd also stars in the series alongside Lily-Rose Depp. Jennie will be seen in an extended cameo in the series, as per reports. The trailer was shown to the fans at a concert held by The Weeknd. An official version is yet to be released.
However, in the trailer shared, BLACKPINK member Jennie's first look is out. In a scene, she is seen donning a crop top and pants. Though the video is pixelated, BLINKS (fandom) are ecstatic about the news. Apart from her, Troye Sivan, Steve Zissis, and Juliebeth Gonzalez will appear in extended roles. 'The Idol' has been shot in Los Angeles, California. Rumors of Jennie's participation were rife after she was spotted with The Weeknd in November last year.

The show ‘The Idol’ will see a self-help guru entering a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is all set for a comeback in August. The details of their comeback are yet to be released, but in a statement, agency YG Entertainment confirmed the development. The girl group will be shooting a music video for their title track this month.
YG Entertainment's statement read, "We have prepared a lot of BLACKPINK-esque music that has been prepared with great effort over a long time. By the end of this, alongside their comeback, BLACKPINK will embark on the largest-ever world tour for a K-Pop girl group, to expand their communication and reach with fans around the world. We will continue large-scale projects for the group as well.”
