Keenon James heads Washington D.C.'s chapter of Black Men Run. He says it's his duty to lead by example.
Keenon James started running because it was affordable and it gave him peace of mind.
"I try to get a minimum of five miles done by 5:00 a.m.," he said. "I found my thoughts, I found my quiet time and I found, 'Wow, what a great solace for me.'"
These days James runs with another purpose. As head of Washington D.C.'s chapter of Black Men Run, he says it's his duty to lead by example.
