Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi was greeted with black flags during his visit to Mayiladuthurai on Tuesday. Protesters from VCK and left-wing parties waved black flags and raised slogans against the governor for delay in forwarding the anti-NEET bill to the President.
Black flag protests were taken out against Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi during his visit to Mayiladuthurai on Tuesday, April 19.
Protesters from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), left wing parties and Dravida Kazhagam (DK), staged a protest against the governor near Mannampandal area near Mayiladuthurai.
The protesters were seen waving black flags and raising slogans against the Governor.
Governor RN Ravi visited the Dharmapuram Adhinam Madam, a savaite monastic institution in Mayiladuthurai on Tuesday. He also participated in the various events organised in the Dharmapuram Adhinam today.
The protest was mainly focused on the recent issues raised against the Governor, including the anti-NEET bill which has still not seen any progress. The protesters were later detained by police officials.
