BJP vs Trinamool Congress over Mamata Banerjee's meeting with PM Modi
India Today
Mamata Banerjee is on a four-day trip to Delhi, where she is likely to meet PM Modi and senior opposition leaders, besides attending a Niti Aayog programme on August 7, sources said.
Mamata Banerjee uses her meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send out a message that “a setting has been made”, BJP’s Dilip Ghosh alleged as the Bengal chief minister landed in Delhi for her meeting with the PM later this week.
“Mamata Banerjee uses these meetings to send out a signal that a setting has been made. The Centre should realise this and not fall for it,” Ghosh said.
“Those are wild allegations our adversaries keep making,” Trinamool Congress’s Sukhendu Sekhar Roy said, rubbishing the claims.
In Delhi, the TMC chief will meet party MPs at Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Sekhar Roy's home in the national capital this evening, official sources said, reported news agency PTI.
Banerjee is on a four-day trip to New Delhi, where she is likely to meet senior opposition leaders, besides attending a Niti Aayog programme on August 7, they added.
During her stay, the chief minister could also meet President Droupadi Murmu, before returning to Kolkata on Monday, the sources further said.
