After seven hours of ED questioning in a coal scam case, Abhishek Banerjee accused the BJP of misusing central agencies.
TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday in connection with their investigation into the coal smuggling case. Following the questioning at the ED office, Abhishek Banerjee slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party and alleged that “this is not a coal scam or cattle scam, this is home minister scam”.

“BJP is working against the people’s mandate. They did not get mandate in Jharkhand so tried to topple government there. Thanks to Mamata Banerjee, they failed in their attempt (in Bengal),” Abhishek Banerjee said, adding, ”You can’t fight me politically so using agencies.”

The TMC MP raised questions over the ED's partiality and alleged that the financial probe agency is not active in Gujarat and other BJP-ruled states.
“I will continue to speak out. If I don’t call a thief as thief, what else should i say ? Where does cow smuggling money go? It goes directly to HM Amit Shah. What is the home minister doing? What is BSF doing? This is not a cattle scam, this is the home minister scam,” Abhishek Banerjee said on Friday.
He added, “TMC suspended Partha Chatterjee within days of the complaint ...but what about Ajay Misra Teni?”
