India Today
Former allies BJP and Shiv Sena have locked horns over the Maharashtra government's decision to constitute an award after former PM Rajiv Gandhi. The MVA government's move came days after the Centre renamed Khel Ratna after Major Dhyan Chand.
The BJP has called out its former Maharashtra ally Shiv Sena for "double standards" over the constitution of an IT award after former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. Shiv Sena, on the other hand, has accused the BJP of indulging in low-level politics by raising such an issue. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, which includes Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP, decided to constitute an IT award after Rajiv Gandhi. The announcement of the new award came two days after the BJP-led central government renamed the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award after hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.More Related News
